Walking Beside You on Your Path to Growth

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT) with over 17 years of experience guiding individuals, couples, and families toward healing, growth, and deeper self-understanding. My work is rooted in the belief that true well-being comes from caring for the whole person—mind, body, and soul—and that each person’s journey is unique and worthy of respect. As an empath and holistic therapist, I take an integrative approach to help clients—whether children, adults, or couples—overcome the obstacles that keep them from experiencing joy, which I believe is our natural birthright. My own spiritual journey informs my work, and I share insights when appropriate, always with an open heart, non-judgmental and a deep commitment to being fully present. I have had the privilege of working with clients of all ages and have found particular success supporting young adults as they navigate life transitions, identity, and purpose. My approach blends evidence-based practices with holistic methods, integrating mindfulness, body awareness, relational work, and creative therapies to create a healing process that is both restorative, transformative and often fun! MY APPROACH I employ a strengths-based perspective, helping clients recognize their own resilience while navigating personal challenges. Each session is tailored to the individual or couple, providing practical feedback and support in a safe, nonjudgmental, and nurturing environment. With compassion and patience, I empower clients to build on their strengths, uncover patterns, and gain new insights that lead to meaningful growth. If you are feeling stuck or overwhelmed and are ready to learn, heal, and grow, I invite you to connect with me. I offer a complimentary 15-minute consultation so we can see if we’re the right fit for your journey. TESTIMONIALS I was unsure how to approach therapy since this was my first time. I wasn’t sure what to expect and how to talk, but I kept an open mind and continued to go and be honest with my emotions. From each session, I got something positive out of it. Overtime, I realized how significant each session was for my recovery and self awareness. I am so grateful for Elana’s help to guide me to a better way of thinking. I will apply these lessons the rest of my life. ---C.C Hi Elana, Hope you are doing well. I'm not sure if you remember me, but I was seeing you back in 20**. You were helping me with several things, but mostly we talked a lot about my lack of assertiveness and setting boundaries with people in my life. I've been doing well, still doing the work - sometimes well and sometimes not. But the other day, my nephew (who is thinking of studying psychology) and I were discussing therapy. He vaguely remembered I'd been seeing someone a few years back and after confirming, he said, "I think it helped. You're different now." When I asked how he thought I had changed, he said, "You say 'no' now," and smiled. I smiled too and thought of you and how grateful I am every day for the work that we did together. You made a difference, and I just wanted to let you know and say thank you. All the best to you, M. ---M.B. I’m a 30-something career woman, and Elana is amazing. As an elder millennial, I felt that she knew how to connect with my generation but also had enough life experiences to offer wise, practical, empathetic advice. The best part of Elana is that she really listens and talks back to you. She doesn’t sit with a pen/pad and passively take notes and offer judgment. Instead, she actively listens, asks questions, and has a conversation with you to learn more about you. And through those conversations, I was able to learn a lot about myself - specifically how I can sometimes be too hard on myself. We talked about everything - stressful work, dating love life, annoying family, past grief and loss, and shameful moments in my life. I never felt judged and felt I could share anything with her. I was sometimes nervous to attend because I wasn’t entirely sure what we’d discuss, but we always found something to talk about, and I always left feeling lighter and happier. Elana truly has a spectacular talent of understanding and empathizing with people. She’s fantastic and I would highly recommend her to all my family and friends in a heartbeat. ---C.Y. I have been in therapy with Elana for a few years. She has helped me navigate through many difficult work and relationship situations. She has been a tremendous help in reducing my anxiety in relationships and my career. She is full of empathy, understanding, and is always available for phone sessions in emotional emergency situations, which I have had plenty of in these past years. She is never distracted or judgmental. My anxiety, self-confidence, and outlook on life and career have dramatically changed because of her guidance. Therapy only works if you are willing to face your past and the demons in your past. If you are ready to take that step, take it with Elana! I promise you; you won’t regret it! ---N.A.
